I'm sorry for not writing so long

「東日本巨大地震」で、栃木県北部に位置する自宅は震度６弱～強の揺れに見舞われたものの、幸い棚から物が落ちたり家具が少し移動した程度で済みました。
ライフラインも水道とガス（災害に強いプロパン）は当初からＯＫで、電気は１４時間後に復旧しました。

岩盤が強い地域ということで、ご近所の屋根瓦のお宅では瓦が少し落ちるなどの被害に見舞われてはいますが、近隣の地盤の軟弱な地域の被害を思うと、申し訳ないくらい地震の影響が最少で済みました。
ちなみに、栃木県内では3/24現在、死者１名、行方不明0名、負傷133名、
建物損壊30,142戸、断水800世帯となっています。



それにしても
東北関東大震災による甚大なる被害には心が痛みます。。
特に、青森県沿岸から茨城県沿岸に及ぶ広範囲で想像を絶する大津波の凄まじい被害・・　なんと残酷なことか・・！
そして　
被災した福島第一原発の相次ぐ深刻なトラブル・・　恐怖・・　


被災地で頑張っておられる方々を応援しています！
福島第一原子力発電所で戦っている“日本の救世主”たちを祈る思いで応援しています！

放射性物質濃度が規制値を下回る牛乳や農作物を、私は飲食します。
そして、水道水も。。

私にできることとして
専門家が説く科学的理論をよく聞くこと。
風評被害の片棒を担がないこと。
無用な買い溜めをしないこと。

ガソリン不足、計画停電、そして福島第一原発の状況が予断を許さないことなどから、３学期の授業を２週間繰り上げて異例の学年末を迎えています。
成績表は各自に郵送。生徒募集活動は自粛。無料体験レッスンも延期。。

all/ Dear All/ primate etc.

（１） Dear All/ Dear all/ Hi, All/ Hi, all
　
普通は、all　を「全員」という意味の名詞としては使いませんが、例外的に、手紙などで、家族全員、またはそのグループ全員に宛てて書く場合、Dear Allのフレーズで始めることがよくあります。


（２） all ～：　一般論として「すべての」という意味を表す。


All illness comes from the mind.
※　illness は可算名詞で複数形はillnessesになりますが、この「病は気から」というような成語の場合は単数形が用いられることがよくありますね

All monkeys are categorized as primates.

（３）　all the/these/ those/my/your, etc ～　：　ある特定の
グループに限定して、「すべての」という意味を表す。

All the pupils in the school have to wear uniform.
All his sons became doctors.


(1) primate　：　霊長類

I heard an interesting talk on the radio　by a specialist in　primate study.

(2) mammal　：　哺乳類

This is a film of a mammal facing extinction.

(3) reptile　：　爬虫類

He's got a snake as a pet, but I can't live with any reptiles.

（１）「すべての物、事」という意味で一般的には、everything

（２） all about : ～についてすべて、全部

I’ll show you a good website.


（３）　all = the only thing(s)

I’m starving!
All I’ve eaten today is a slice of toast!

He didn’t say who was coming.
All he said was that four people were coming.





go wrong　は、「うまくいかない、失敗する」という意味の句動詞

（１） everything goes wrong ：　何もかもうまくいかない、すべてが裏目に出る　

Everything went wrong and we had an awful holiday.

（２） can't go wrong　：　間違いない、失敗のしようがない

I’m an expert.
You can’t go wrong as long as you listen to me.

（３） if things go wrong　：　最悪の事態になったら、下手をすると

It’s a brilliant plan,
but if things go wrong you may lose everything.
